The fashion industry is overdue for a change, and it’s time to show that style doesn’t have to cost the planet. I’m here to prove that fashion can be both bold and sustainable—without compromising on ethics or quality. I want to inspire a new generation to embrace fashion that looks good, feels good and does good.
All products are handcrafted by me, Candra Lee. Each pair of pants takes between 18 to 32 hours to complete, depending on the size and design details. I work at a rate of $14 per hour, ensuring that every piece is made with care and attention. The fabric I use is either donated, gifted, or thrifted—giving new life to materials that might otherwise go to waste. For any specialty materials, I turn to sewing supply stores, but only after exhausting secondhand options.
Whenever possible, I prioritize using public transit to minimize my personal carbon footprint—besides when transporting supplies from event to event. This is my way of reducing emissions until I can invest in a more sustainable option, like a smart car, to transport goods. Using public transit & my handy truck helps me stay true to my eco-friendly values while making sure I can always show up for my customers—no matter what.
Once the pants are finished, I do a final wash using 7-10 gallons of water. If the fabric is dyed before finishing, that number can go up to 14-20 gallons. For context, the average pair of jeans takes around 3,781 liters of water to produce, but I make it a point to repurpose old jeans, transforming worn-out pieces into new ones, reducing waste and minimizing water consumption.
